Karen,
Troops Received Box from LHCP
Hey, I apologize for not writing sooner. I just wanted to say thanks for all the boxes you have sent our way lately. They have been greatly appreciated and have made many people happy. Thanks so much for your support over this rotation. Hopefully I’ll be rotating out late July. I’ll be sure to give your information to my successor. His name is MSgt R. A. A friend of mine, MSgt A. P., told me that she knows you as well. It’s a small world. Anyway, I just wanted to send you this note of thanks. Take care out there and I’ll see you around.

Dear Ms. Grimord,
Ma’am, I recently toured the Deployment Transition Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany in my role as the 9th Air Expeditionary Task Force, Afghanistan, Commander. I couldn’t have been more humbled, honored, and impressed with what you and your Landstuhl Hospital Care Project are dedicated to providing our re-deployment Airmen. JUST AWESOME! Thank you so very much for your selfless SERVICE to our military members and their families. It’s because of Great Americans like you that we choose to SERVE and remain in uniform. In grateful appreciation,
Barre R. Seguin Major General, U.S.A.F Commander, 9th AETF-A, Kabul, AFG
Dear Mrs. Grimord, Karen,
Recently Major General Seguin and I visited the Deployment Transition Center at Ramstein AB in Germany and saw firsthand the result of your determination and hard work to ensure our returning Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines are well taken care of as they transition home. I cannot thank you enough for what you do for my brothers and sisters in arms…you are truly a saint! Please accept this small token to celebrate your excellence and caring.

Happy holidays!!
Troops unpacking their new pillows
I wanted to let you know that we have received all of your recent packages. It was a nice treat to receive the fleece blankets, coffee, flags, and additional care packages. The soldiers and myself truly appreciate all of your team’s efforts with putting these together. If there is anything we can do in return to show our gratitude, please let me know.
Thank you again.

Karen-
Deployment Transition Center at Ramstein Air Base, Germany
Good morning and Happy Friday from soggy Ramstein! I wanted to let you know that we did receive a shipment from LHCP this week. Thank you – to you and your amazing supporters – for the generosity. Nearly every week, one of our inbound redeployers loses a bag en-route to Ramstein. Their frustration escalates when they arrive at the DTC and learn that they’ll be in civilian clothes for the duration of their time with us – but often their civilian clothes are on a plane to who knows where. For us to be able to provide them the option of free and new clothes/toiletries etc., really helps to soften their landing here, making the work we seek to do much more feasible. Blessings!
